How it works

  1. Write what happens

    Write your story in your own words, one scene at a time, and link the scenes together.

  2. Give the player choices

    Ask the player what to do next. Each answer can lead somewhere different.

  3. Set the rules

    Add characters, places and items, then say how your world works in everyday sentences, like “If Mo has the key, the door opens.”

  4. Play it

    Play on your own or together, on one screen or on your own devices. Playlier keeps track of who has what and what has happened.

Made for families

  • An adult holds the account. Children have profiles under it, not accounts of their own.
  • A child's profile is just a first name or nickname, an age if you choose, and a colour.
  • What your family makes belongs to your family.
  • No ads, no selling your data, and nothing to buy inside stories.
